Youth Choirs Following worship, during the school year, we eat lunch together in the Great Hall before heading to choir rehearsal at 12:45. Trinity Chorus, the middle school choir, and Imago Dei, the high school choir both sing in worship several times during the school year and around town at nursing homes and retirement villages.
Sunday Morning is at the heart of nurturing our friendship with God. At 9:30 in the Youth Quad, on the third floor, grades 6-12 get together to catch up, share a donut and maybe a game or two. At 9:45 we sing, share announcements, and pray together before moving into our graded groups. Our goal with the smaller group time is to find the intersection of our stories, scriptures stories, and God’s friendship with us this day. We also spend a portion of that time taking care of each other.
Wednesday Evenings, during the school year, are the family room of our Youth Ministry. Casual, comfortable, it’s goal is to help us be more at home in our faith as we deepen our friendship with the living God. We call it Encounter. Really it’s a living Bible study that usually starts with a song and ends in different forms of prayer. We meet in the Youth Quad, on the third floor, 6:30—7:15. Once per month, we participate in a Youth Mobile Loaves and Fishes run.
